Privacy policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what information Monstera ("we", "us") collects when you visit monstera.casa, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be straightforward about the rest.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you sign up for the Sunday Drop newsletter, we collect your email address. If you contact us, we receive whatever you include in your message (typically your name, email, and the message body).
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, our hosting and analytics providers receive standard log data: IP address, device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand traffic patterns.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser local storage. Saved pins and boards are stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers. Analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies — see "Advertising and affiliate links" below. You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time.
How we use information
- To send the newsletter you signed up for
- To respond to messages you send us
- To measure traffic and understand which content is useful
- To detect abuse, secure the site, and meet legal obligations
Advertising and affiliate links
Some pages contain advertising delivered by third-party ad networks. These networks may use cookies to serve more relevant ads. Some links on the site are affiliate links — if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine which products we recommend; see our editorial policy for details.
Third-party services
We rely on third parties to operate the site, including hosting, analytics, email delivery, and ad networks. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers described above, or when required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal information (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
Data retention
We keep newsletter email addresses until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are retained for a reasonable period to follow up and keep a record. Analytics data is retained according to our providers' standard retention windows.
Children's privacy
Monstera is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our servers and service providers are primarily located in the United States. By using the site, you understand that your information may be processed there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
